A New Etsy Store

I finally got a free day to completely re-vamp my etsy store! I hope you enjoy the treasures I've found. I've named the collection 'Girls With Flower Names', and it is full of little end of summer treats! Do take a closer look at Shall I Love You Vintage xoxo

If we knew each other's secrets, what comforts we could find

We're speaking in numbers and algorithms to protect our coded histories. I sit perched on the window sill, while you sleep behind me.

I wish you would have put yourself in my suitcase

This morning was a bit chilly, and even though I know this means summer is coming to a close, I chose to see the silver lining of this cold front. I sewed up the holes in my favorite grey cable knit tights and remembered how adorable it feels to wear tights under a summer dress. Like being a five year old again. Here are some of my favorite tights/knee socked looks borrowed lovingly from lookbook.

In love with all of these looks for fall. Do feel free to hype these lovely ladies and their stockings!

where do you go to my lovely

Friday certainly has snuck up on me. Cuddles, an empty library, some thrifting and a trip to Allan Gardens filled my morning and afternoon. Some of you may remember this dress from a previous 'wish list' post. Well, I'm happy to say that it is finally mine (and for a smashing sale price!). I found some lovely treasures today, but am still on the hunt for a special treat for my first giveaway...
I wish you a weekend full of charm and maybe even this xox

rested his head against her chest and waited for the embrace

A day that felt like it was never going to get started, but that seemed okay to us.
A favorite new thrift find dress, that I had originally picked up for my etsy shop (which I am working on re-vamping, stay tuned!) but after wearing it twice in the last week, I think its home may be with me. Do excuse my mop of hair, the Ty Segall concert had its way with me the night before.

The title of this post is from a short story by Shane Jones titled 'I will unfold you with my hairy hands'. It is a little silly, but I love, love it. Do try and read it if you need a warm smile!

I left my heart to the wild hunt

I went to a charming little place called cafe Bernate yesterday, with a more than darling boy. It had the cutest 1950s diner tables mixed with vintage studded chairs that you would expect to see at Grandma's house. It was just too perfect. This picture is from the front room (I was too shy to take any of the backroom and patio, I really must work on that!). The mint color of this chair was just too lovely, so I couldn't resist. Hope you all are having a wonderful week filled with tiny treasures!

darling you, send me.

This was quite the silly week. Late night boys who cry wolf, bike rides, failed pool jumping attempts, and a bathtub party. I am too excited for my lovely friend Jessica's Birthday extravaganza this weekend. For now though, this is one of my favorite summer skirts that I stumbled across almost a year after lusting after something just like it. The top is actually a lace trapeze dress from forever twenty one that is just darling on its own, but I thought added some texture to the look. (sometimes I feel silly when I realize that I actually do think about outfits in this rational, clinical way!)
happy weekend lovelies xox

at least one will make you feel like running away

A delightfully belated birthday gift that arrived in the mail a few days back. Here are some of it's treasures...

I would strongly suggest getting your own copy here.

then he turned the bluebells

I spent this past weekend at my Grandparent's cottage, as did the rest of my family and quite a few others. While it was cheery to be surrounded by so many people that I spent my childhood summers with, it didn't leave much time for any exploring. I managed to sneak away for a quick adventure in the trails behind the cottage.  I was hoping to find a part of the forest that I remember seeing as child, but don't think I went far enough on the trail. It may also just be that this part of the forest is not in fact a childhood memory, but the setting of a story I once read titled Bruno's Revenge by Lewis Carroll.
