This was quite the silly week. Late night boys who cry wolf, bike rides, failed pool jumping attempts, and a bathtub party. I am too excited for my lovely friend Jessica's Birthday extravaganza this weekend. For now though, this is one of my favorite summer skirts that I stumbled across almost a year after lusting after something just like it. The top is actually a lace trapeze dress from forever twenty one that is just darling on its own, but I thought added some texture to the look. (sometimes I feel silly when I realize that I actually do think about outfits in this rational, clinical way!)

What a sweet little skirt, it's great! I love the high waist-- and you were quite right, the dress-turned-blouse made the perfet finishing touch! I am always overthinking outfits, I wish I was mroe effortless. You always look effortlessly pretty!
You are so stylish! And I was just admiring that book you blogged about in an older post. I want one too!
